The island is often called the “lung of the city” and it is certainly true. The island is alive with people running from dawn to late evening. The 5350 meter long running track around the island provides an excellent opportunity for amateurs to gain and maintain good condition and for professionals to prepare for various competitions. Should you not be interested in running you still have the opportunity to play five-man football or to play basketball on the street ball court with friends.
