The Erzsébet tér (Elisabeth square) had a lot of names in the past. It was called New square, Market square, then in 1858 it first became its present name, Erzsébet Square. In 1946 they called it Stalin square, in 1953 Engels square. In 1990 it got back to its old name, Erzsébet square. Today you can hang out in the park on the square or go to famous Gödör club and have a drink.
