The internet portal port.hu was founded 15 years ago and its present and past colleagues of its Theatre and Music section believe that images and the printed word often seem clearer than the thing itself. While the written word cannot do so, often a well-judged photo can communicate someone’s essence with surprising honesty. This is particularly true of people on stage, because there, the audience is expecting something authentic every second. If it is absent, then the performance is adjudged a failure.
The authors hope that their exhibition will give suitable shading to the mental picture of authenticity or honesty.
