The group exhibition of Swedish Thobias Fäldt and Klara Källström along with the works of Hungarian Miklós Surányi is a representation of an emerging European generation of photographers, whose works are repositories of a global photo-based visual language, which doesn’t exclusively limit itself to the realm of contemporary visual arts. The exhibited images can be interpreted as a form of subjective diaries, which capture extreme conjunctions of light, space and time. The spontaneous, humorous, yet still composed lyric frames present seemingly coincidental situations, function-less still lives and absurd portraits. The exhibition doesn’t merely consist of photos, but also the extended instruments of the genre as well: apart from motion pictures this includes a number of limited edition photo books, which have a significant influence on the medium and its channels of distribution.
