If you always wanted to be an extra in a Kusturica film, A38’s Balkan Party is as close as it gets. The craziest music, fresh burek, The Mostar Bridge film, Dj Mácsity and dj Vucsko, and a Serbian band that challenges your views on gypsy music are to be had on the ship on September 22.
KAL is the most current production on the world music scene coming from Serbia. The young band completely changes the stereotype on gypsy music. They place traditional gypsy music into a city-sound surrounding with electronic rhythms, turntables, scratching and enriching it with all other elements of the hiphop culture. All this ends up in concerts with stormy beats and rhythms, exciting, moving, rich and drifting sound that makes you dance.
