Are you familiar with the name of Károly Ferenczy? If not, you may not know about him either that his name is strictly connected to a Hungarian place, Nagybánya since he was the leader figure of the local artist colony. As the father of the Magyar impressionism and post-impressionism, he became the founder of modern Hungarian painting. The audience didn’t have the chance to see his collected works for more than a century but now the National Gallery presents a comprehensive exhibition with 150 paintings, 80 graphics and 50 documents!
