Do you have a tiptoeing toddler, a budding ballerina, or a youngster yearning for the spotlight? Dance Craze Academy teaches girls and boys ages 4-16 the basics of all kinds of dance, from ballet to tap, modern/jazz – Street dance, all in English.
More importantly, Dance Craze Academy makes it FUN to dance, and along the way, the kids learn confidence and coordination, grace and poise, singing and social skills. Wait ’til you see the little ones in costumes from puppies to princesses, ladybugs to fairies – and you can order the costumes you see online!
At the end of the school year, DCA puts on a fantastic show where every child is a star. The June 2008 show was called Dance Your Dreams, and the proceeds from ticket sales went to a new idea to help give Hungarian orphans the same opportunities to dance as all the international and Hungarian kids who attend DCA. The program will bring DCA teachers into orphanages to teach them the same all-important life skills through dance, and give them a chance to dance with the DCA kids in the 2009 year-end show.
DCA classes are taught at the American School, the British School and many international kindergartens across the city. Or your child can attend one of the many classes at the Saturday Musical Theater course, currently held at a centrally located Hungarian primary school.
And that’s not all. DCA founder Sandra Knibbs and her teaching staff can organize a fantastic Dance Party for your child and his/her friends, for a birthday or any other special occasion, complete with a special choreography and song the kids can learn, face-painting and, of course, costumes!
Date: many 2008-9 courses start Sept. 6, contact DCA for details
Place: Saturday musical theater classes are held at
1025 Budapest, Virányos u. 46.
